Job007 ("we", "our", "us") provides an AI-powered job search automation platform consisting of a desktop application, Chrome browser extension, and cloud backend. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

Account Information

• Email address, full name (provided at registration)
• Authentication credentials (passwords are hashed, never stored in plaintext)

Profile & Career Data

• Resume content and cover letters you upload
• Target job titles, preferred locations, salary expectations
• Career history and professional preferences
• Application form answers and preferences

Job Search Data

• Job listings discovered from LinkedIn, Indeed, and other job boards
• AI-generated fit scores and recommendations
• Application status and tracking information

Chrome Extension Data

• Application form fields on job board websites (read to fill and review)
• Job posting content from supported job boards
• The extension does not collect browsing history, track activity on non-job-board websites, or access data from unrelated tabs

3. How We Use Your Data

• Job matching: AI scoring of job postings against your resume and preferences
• Document generation: Creating tailored resumes and cover letters for specific positions
• Application automation: Auto-filling job application forms with your profile data
• Email monitoring: Detecting application responses (interviews, rejections, offers) in your connected Gmail
• Notifications: Sending email updates about your application status and search activity
• Service improvement: Aggregate, anonymized usage analytics to improve the product

4. AI Processing

We use Anthropic's Claude AI to score jobs, generate documents, and provide chat assistance. Your resume content and job descriptions are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details.

5. Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the EU (europe-west1) for GDPR compliance
• All connections use TLS/HTTPS encryption
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt
• Authentication uses JWT tokens with configurable expiration
• API keys and secrets are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Anthropic: Resume and job data for AI processing (under their data processing terms)
• Stripe: Payment information for subscription billing (we do not store credit card numbers)
• Google Cloud: Infrastructure provider for data hosting
• Job boards: Your profile data is submitted to job boards only when you approve an application

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to processing of your personal data

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregate usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

9. Cookies

The Job007 web application uses essential cookies only (authentication tokens). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that track individual users.

10. Children's Privacy

Job007 is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes.
