Privacy Policy

In short: your data is stored in the EU (Google Cloud, Belgium). We never sell it. Our AI provider does not train on it. Analytics and advertising cookies on our website load only if you accept them. You can ask us to delete everything at any time.

1. Who we are

Job007 ("we", "our", "us") provides an AI job search agent: a web application at app.job007.ai, a Chrome browser extension, and a cloud backend, plus the marketing website at job007.ai. Job007 is operated by Sencial Inc., 27 West 20th Street, Suite 800, New York, NY 10011, United States, which decides how your personal data is used for these services and is responsible for it (the "controller"). For any privacy question, write to privacy@job007.ai.

2. Data we collect

Account information

• Email address and full name, provided when you register
• Your password, stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text

Profile and career data

• Your resume and any documents you upload, and the resumes and cover letters we generate for you
• Target roles, industries, seniority, locations, salary expectations, dream companies and excluded companies
• Career history, strengths and the edits and instructions you give the assistant

Application profile

The answers we type into application forms on your behalf, which you choose to provide: contact details and address, work authorization, education, notice period, and optional equal-opportunity (EEO) answers. If you choose to store passwords for applicant tracking system accounts so the assistant can sign in to apply, they are kept in our encrypted database and used only for that purpose. Optional EEO answers may reveal sensitive information; you can leave them blank or choose "prefer not to say".

Job search data

• Job postings found for you on job boards, applicant tracking systems and company career pages
• Fit scores, reasoning and recommendations generated for each role
• The status of each application, from discovery to offer

Gmail data (only if you connect Gmail)

With your permission we read your Gmail messages (read-only access) to detect application confirmations, interview invitations, rejections and offers, and to find job alerts. We never send, delete or change email.

Browser extension data

• The fields of application forms you open, so the extension can fill them and show them to you for review
• The content of job postings on supported sites, and jobs you choose to add from any page
• The extension does not collect your browsing history and does not read unrelated tabs

Payment data

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your card details directly; we store only a customer reference, your plan and your billing status, never your card number.

Website visitors (job007.ai)

We count page views and button clicks on our website with our own analytics. If you have not accepted analytics cookies, these events are recorded without any identifier, so we cannot recognize you between visits. If you accept, we also store an anonymous visitor ID and the campaign that brought you to the site, and we load Google Analytics and the Meta pixel (see section 9).

3. How we use your data, and why we are allowed to

• To provide the service (performance of our contract with you): finding and scoring jobs, generating documents, filling and submitting applications according to your settings, tracking your pipeline, and sending notifications you asked for.
• To bill you (contract and legal obligations): subscriptions, invoices and tax records.
• To improve and secure the product (our legitimate interests): aggregate usage statistics, debugging and preventing abuse.
• To measure our website and our ads (your consent): Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, only if you click Accept on our cookie banner.
• Gmail access (your consent): only if you connect Gmail, and you can disconnect it at any time.

4. AI processing

We use Anthropic's Claude models to score jobs, write documents and power the chat assistant. To do this, relevant parts of your profile, resume and job descriptions are sent to Anthropic's API. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

AI output can be wrong. Fit scores and documents are suggestions: you can review and edit every document, and you decide how applications are submitted.

5. How applications are submitted

You control what the agent does. Depending on your settings, it can prepare applications and wait for you to review and submit each one, or submit applications automatically when they meet rules you set (for example a minimum fit score or a dream company). When an application is submitted, the information on it is sent to that employer and its applicant tracking system, which then handle it under their own privacy policies. Companies on your excluded list are never applied to.

6. Google user data

Job007's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Gmail data only to provide the application-tracking features described above, we do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and people do not read it unless you ask us to for support, it is required for security, or it is required by law.

7. Where your data is stored and how it is protected

• Our application and database run on Google Cloud in the EU (region europe-west1, Belgium)
• Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 and 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
• Passwords are hashed with bcrypt; API keys and secrets are kept in Google Cloud Secret Manager
• Access to production data is limited to the people who operate the service

8. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Google: hosting and infrastructure (Google Cloud) and delivery of account and notification emails
• Anthropic: AI processing (section 4)
• Stripe: payments
• Google (Analytics) and Meta (pixel): website measurement and ad performance, only if you accepted cookies on job007.ai
• Employers and their applicant tracking systems: the applications you submit (section 5)
• Authorities: when the law requires it

9. Cookies and similar technologies

In the app (app.job007.ai): essential cookies and storage only, to keep you signed in.

On the website (job007.ai): when you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. If you click Accept, we load Google Analytics (to understand which pages help) and the Meta pixel (to measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram); these set their own cookies. If you click Decline, neither loads. Your choice is saved in your browser; to change it, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will ask again.

10. International transfers

Your data is stored in the EU, but some providers process it in the United States, including Anthropic, Stripe, Google and Meta. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.

11. How long we keep data

• Account, profile and job search data: as long as your account is active
• When you delete your account, or ask us to: all personal data is deleted within 30 days, except what we must keep by law (for example billing records)
• Anonymous, aggregate statistics that cannot identify you may be kept longer

12. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Access the data we hold about you, and receive it in a portable format
• Correct anything inaccurate
• Delete your account and data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent at any time, for example by disconnecting Gmail or declining cookies

Write to privacy@job007.ai; we reply within 30 days. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising; we do not sell personal information, and declining cookies on our website stops the Meta pixel from loading.

13. Children

Job007 is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

14. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and email registered users about material changes.
